Elder Benefit Specialist

Elder Benefit Specialist (EBS) provides advocacy and assistance to St. Croix County residents 60 years and older under the supervision of the Greater Wisconsin (GWAAR) Elder Law Attorneys. An Elder Benefit Specialist provides information about Medicare, Medicaid, supplemental insurance and all other public benefits, as well as provides assistance with grievances and appeals when necessary. An Elder Benefit Specialist works closely with the ADRC Specialists and other Aging & Disability Resource Center services. This is a free and confidential service available during office hours.

Elder Benefit Specialists (EBS) offer advocacy and support to St. Croix County residents age 60 and older, supervised by Greater Wisconsin Agency on Aging Resources (GWAAR) attorneys. EBS professionals:

• Help navigate Medicare, Medicaid, and supplemental insurance.
• Provide guidance on public benefits and assist with grievances and appeals.
• Work collaboratively with ADRC Specialists to streamline access to services.
