The Home-Delivered Meals program provides a hot, nutritious meal to person who are:
Disabled persons under the age of 60 may receive meals at full cost. Persons are referred by social workers, doctors, family members or self. Meals are provided on a short or long term basis. Short term meals are typically provided for those recovering from surgery or illness.
Anyone who receives this service is asked to contribute toward the cost of the meal. Contributions are confidential and no one will be denied because of their inability to contribute. The contribution request is $6.50 per meal. In order to ensure satisfaction with this program and to provide additional nutritional support and education, the ADRC Outreach Coordinator conducts home visits with individuals served by the Home-Delivered Meals Program.
We are looking for volunteers to help deliver meals to homebound participants. Volunteers are needed Monday through Thursday from 11am to Noon.
