The purpose of the Elderly Nutrition Program is to provide services that assist older individuals in Wisconsin to live independently, by promoting better health through improved nutrition and reduced isolation. Not only are nutritious meals served at our congregate sites, but services also include nutrition education, nutrition screening, and nutrition counseling. Also important: the opportunity to socialize!
Senior Dining is open to individuals age 60 or older and their spouses, regardless of age; any handicapped person who lives in an apartment building with a meal site; and program volunteers.
The cost for meals is strictly voluntary and confidential. The suggested contribution is $5.00 per meal. Participants are provided with an opportunity to contribute toward the cost of the meal, by no one (aged 60 or older) will be denied a meal regardless of their ability to contribute. Please call your local Senior Dining Site 24 hours in advance for reservations.
