Land Division

The Land Division is responsible for managing the Land Division Ordinance in St. Croix County in order to control subdivision development.

  • If you are intending to either sell or purchase property, please contact the Community Development Department offices to ensure that the correct procedures are being followed to create a legal lot. A surveyor will draft your map and assist you in the subdivision process.
  • There are two types of land divisions; Certified Survey Maps (CSMs) - 4 lots of less and are considered minor subdivisions. Plots of 5 or more lots are considered major subdivisions.
  • The Technical Review Committee, made up of staff, will hold two meetings per month to process and approve applications.
  • Applications are due the first Monday of every month.
