St Croix County does not have a compost site where residents can drop-off leaves, brush and grass clippings, but there are some options for these materials.
- All Natural Recycling south of River Falls accepts grass and leaves for recycling for a fee of $1 per bag. Contact Adam at 715-497-9130.
- Composting Concepts located at 4600 Cottage Grove Dr, Woodbury, Minnesota accepts most yard waste for a fee. They are open Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Call 651-769-0531 for further details.
- Consider on-site disposal options like composting and mulching. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has further information about setting up your own backyard composting project.
- Diamond D Farms in Somerset accepts grass clippings and leaf waste for free and a limited amount of brush for a fee, $20 per pickup load. Contact Dennis at Diamond D Farms at 651-238-0734.
- A few municipalities have a yard waste site open for residents of their municipality only.
- Freedom Farm in Houlton accepts grass clippings, leaves and manure for a free will offering. Call or text Garry at 715-410-4963 for more information.
- Residents who have Advanced Disposal as their waste hauler may purchase yard waste pick-up service with the company.
- Sean & Sons in rural Spring Valley will pick up brush for a fee. Call 715-531-7375 during the day or 715-772-4946 after 6 p.m.
