Yard Waste

St. Croix County does NOT have a compost site where residents can drop-off leaves, brush and grass clippings.

Consider at-home disposal options like composting and mulching. WI DNR has further information about setting up your own backyard composting project.

Otherwise here are some options for disposing of these materials.

  • All Natural Recycling (south of River Falls)
    Accepts grass and leaves for a fee

    and a limited amount of brush for a fee

    Accepts landscape rock and concrete for a fee

  • Residents who have Advanced Disposal as their waste hauler may purchase yard waste pick-up service with the company.

  • A few municipalities have a yard waste site open for residents of their municipality only. Contact your municipality for details.

Home Compost Bin Sale

In the spring, the county has a limited number of The Home Composter bins for sale.
They can be purchased on-line.  

Cost: $60

  • · Includes “Composting Cookbook”
  • · Assembly is less than 10-minutes 
  • · Made of 100% recycled plastic
  • · Holds 60 gallons of material
  • · 33” in diameter and 33” tall (approximately)
