High Acuity Foster Recruitment

Help us make a difference in a youth's life. St. Croix, Pierce, Barron, and Polk Counties are looking for compassionate individuals and families to become licensed foster homes to provide support and care to youth who are experiencing behavioral challenges. We are seeking both 24/7 and respite care options. Your support can change a young person's life forever. If you're ready to make a positive impact, contact Polk County Foster Care Program today! 24/7 High Acuity Foster Homes earn $3000/month in addition to state foster care rate. Here are the qualifications:

  • At least one full-time caregiver must be available 24/7
  • Have a 2 adult household or a strong support system if single
  • Willingness to attend meetings to support youth in your care
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Eligible to become a licensed level 2 foster home. Learn more about this eligibility on the Wisconsin DCF website.

Respite High Acuity Caregivers earn a $150 daily rate. Here are the qualifications:

  • 2 adult household or a strong support system preferred
  • Willingness to assist with appointments if needed
  • Must meet Respite home requirements in your county. For questions about eligibility in St. Croix County, contact our office at 715-246-8260

  • Eligible to become a certified Respite home
