County Clerk

The County Clerk is a Constitutional Officer elected every four years by the voters of St. Croix County.  The St. Croix County Clerk's office has both statutory and non-statutory responsibilities.

  • Administrative Services and Records Retention for the County Board of Supervisors
  • Marriage Licenses
  • Domestic Partnership Terminations
  • Dog License Issuance to Municipalities
  • Acceptance of Passport Applications
  • Work Permits - Minors Under the Age of 16
  • Timber Cutting Notices

Permits & Applications - 8 A.M. - 4 P.M.
Marriage Licenses - 8 A.M. - 3:45 P.M.

We are open during the noon hour.  Applicants must arrive so applications can be completed by 4:30 P.M. Call the County Clerk's office at 715-386-4607 or 715-386-4608 for information regarding any of the following:

  • Applying for a Marriage License - application hours 8 AM to 3:45 PM (allow 30 minutes to complete the marriage license application)
  • Domestic Partnership Termination
  • Passports and Passport Photos
  • Timber Cutting Notices
  • Dog License Information
  • Work Permits
