Paying Bonds

The St. Croix County Jail utilizes a government payment site so the public is able to post bond online. Below you will find step by step instructions on how to post bond for someone incarcerated in the St. Croix County Jail.

Notice Regarding Bond Posting

Be advised that if the person you are posting bond money for fails to comply with ANY conditions of a court-ordered bond, the bond could be forfeited.  Court-ordered violations include, but are not limited to:

  • Failing to appear at any required court appearance.
  • Contacting a person or place in which they were ordered to have no contact with.
  • Committing a new crime.
  • Consuming alcohol or driving when ordered not to.

Note:  If the person is found guilty, bond money will be applied to any restitution, fines or costs per WI statute 969.03(4) and will NOT be returned to you.

How to Post Bond Online

  1. Call the St. Croix County Jail at 715-386-4753 to let us know you are ready to pay the bond so the information can be uploaded for you to pay.
  2. Go to JAILATM.com and set up your account by clicking the upper right hand corner to register account.  Enter your information and your credit card number. You must answer all questions in order for your credit card to be accepted. 
  3. Click the down arrow under facility name and select St. Croix County Jail, WI.
  4. Select the inmate you are posting for and the bond amount will be shown there.  
  5. A confirmation will be sent to your email and you will need to confirm the payment before this goes through the system.
