County Forests

St. Croix County owns approximately 120 acres of forest land that is managed by the Parks Division and us under the authority of the Community Development Committee. Existing facilities include a parking lot and hiking trails. The sites were originally obtained for youth forestry education and managed for multi-use, including timber production, recreation and education.

Kinnickinnic County Forest


St. Croix County owns approximately 80 acres of forestland in Section 26 of Kinnickinnic Township. The forest is located on Evergreen Drive approximately a half mile east of County Road JJ.

The County has owned and managed the land since May of 1959.

The forest was thinned in 2006 and is open for hunting.

Stanton County Forest

St. Croix County owns approximately 40 acres of forestland in Section 2 of Stanton Township. The forest is located on 185th Street approximately one mile north of the intersection of County Roads H and T.

The County has owned the land since 1944 and has managed the land for forestry since 1950.

The forest was thinned in 2007 and is open for hunting.

St. Croix County Hunting Plan

The St Croix County Hunting Plan allows hunters to make informed decisions about upcoming seasons and hunting areas in county parks. The Hunting Plan provides current season information.
