Proposed Zoning Amendments

The St. Croix County Community Development Committee will be conducting consecutive public hearings on Thursday, May 16, 2024, beginning at 5:00 p.m., at the St. Croix County Government Center, County Board Room, 1101 Carmichael Rd., Hudson, Wisconsin, to consider the following ordinance amendments:

The proposed amended St. Croix County Chapter 12-Sanitary Ordinance which regulates properties with private sanitary systems in St. Croix County as required under Wisconsin Statute 59.70 and Chapter 145.  The current sanitary ordinance includes invalid references to Wisconsin Administrative Code SPS 383-387 and 391.  These references have been updated and additional text was inserted throughout the ordinance to represent current practices by staff and aid in the administration of the sanitary program.

The proposed amended St. Croix County Chapter 13-Land Division Ordinance which regulates land divisions within the unincorporated areas of St. Croix County.  These amendments include new references, design standards, and less restrictions for conservation design developments.  The amended draft also removes specifications for public improvements which are no longer enforceable by the County.

Interested persons may submit written or oral comments related to this matter any time prior to the hearing, or at the hearing.
